The main buildings of Senior College Dún Laoghaire are located in the historic town of Dún Laoghaire, 10 kilometres from Dublin City Centre. Dún Laoghaire is a ferry port, and is located in the hinterland of "Dublin's Riviera" - the stretch of coast encompassing Dalkey and Killiney.

The college is serviced by an excellent public transport infrastructure. The Dart station is just a five-minute stroll away and the 46A, 7, 8, 111 and 75 bus routes also service the town. The N11 and M50 are also easily accessed.

Dun Laoghaire has undergone a renaissance in recent years. The town centre has been pedestrianised and the cafes, bars and shopping provide an excellent service to the college community.

Blackrock campus

The seaside village of Blackrock takes its name from a distinctive black rock, once clearly visible at low tide. The rock itself has disappeared through erosion but the village continues to thrive. Senior College Blackrock is part of the Blackrock library, a handsome Carnegie building built in 1905.

The College is serviced by an excellent public transport infrastructure:
